piece inside cylinder
Posted to Technical Discussion Forum on 12/20/2018 51 Replies

Does anyone have a great tip to get something out of a cylinder that I dropped. I stuck my mirror piece to my snap on bore scope into the cylinder to look around. It was almost at the top, anyhow when removing I snagged and dropped the piece into the cylinder. Apparently this one adapter is non magnetic. I have ran a magnet all the the up to it and it did not stick. I can't blow enough air in to get it to jump out. I have piton up until it stopped becuase of piece and let it down a hair. I see it bouncing around. I've spent a couple hours so far trying to remove it. If you can bounce some ideas my way I would appreciate it. I'm closed for Christmas next week and need to get truck back to customer. I have also dropped piston some so that valve opened and tried sucking it out with a vacuum. It didn't work. Thanks for any help. It's a 5.0 chevy moto. Tony
