Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that the magnet was part of the pickup coil. On the newer ones, I know it is part of the shaft, but if memory serves, on the older ones, with mechanical and vacuum advance, isn't the magnet part of the pickup coil? Doesn... Login to read more.
