Do not use a rubber seal on a crankshaft with the grooves in it for a rope seal. It will leak with the rubber seal, not a lot but it will constantly seep. It isn't the kind of drip drip you see with a bad rear main seal but the back of the pan/front of the fly... Login to read more.
