I agree they must have some type of coating. In humid areas like NJ, you can actually watch surface rust form on just-cleaned steel and cast iron. After thoroughly cleaning cylinder bores with hot soapy water, we had to quickly dry them and coat with WD-40. Hi... Login to read more.
