I phrased it wrong. The ratcheting is along side the push rod. The new tensioner has an oil hole at the bottom of the case the push rod sets in. This is where the oil pressure pushes the rod. Either there's a one way valve of some sort that keeps the rod exten... Login to read more. ![]()
