Hi Daniel. I believe the damage you are seeing at the filler neck and overflow is caused by steam erosion. Most likely due to the failed radiator cap, leading to low coolant, etc. I have seen similar damage on several vehicles with leaking head gaskets. Also, ... Login to read more.
