Very intermittent Hard start
Good morning everyone! . I have this tundra in the shop, customer complaint of intermittent hard start, and loss of power. (There are some language barriers here, but I understood that the power loss is all the time, hard sate is intermittent). To me, it does not seem to be a power house at all, but idk how it is supposed to feel when all is well. Another tech checked for codes and there was a P0393 (cmp sensor "B" circuit high input (bank 2)). But the other tech cleared it and sent the vehicle out because he could not get it to act up, customer drives it over the weekend, brings it back Monday morning "no change, doing the same thing"..... I scoped ignition system, everything looked great, but I pulled a spark plug out just to get a visual on it, it looked great too. I did get it to act up once and only once for me, it was after it sat overnight, and it did have extended crank time ( maybe 10 seconds instead of 2??) but it did not misfire or anything of that nature when it did start. When it started, it ran as smooth as silk. Has anybody run into this problem and have a "silver bulltet" fix or even at least a test that I could do to find the problem?? I hate asking for help because I don't like to take up time out of you all's busy day, nor do I want to be a tech that's just tool lazy to do his own testing. but I'm against a brick wall on this truck, so any help would be appreciated. TIA!
