Re: PCV Crankcase Ventilation Measurement Specification
I have tested many BMW M52 TU and M54 engines and what I found to be normal was about 5 inches of WATER vacuum at warm idle. I have never measured 1.5 inches of MERCURY [20+ inches of water] on any known-good BMW. Perhaps the newer engines are different? Login to read more. ![]()
