Were the heads cracked checked? I've run across 2 subbys with scaling on the coolant jackets inside the block. All passed leak down tests before tear down. Finally leaked it down at BTDC, yep failed badly. Couldn't see the crack in the bore but the bubbles don... Login to read more.
