Valve lash (when is it worth the cost?)

Greetings IATN,

Here's the example that prompts my post:

We have a 2002 Toyota Tundra in the shop. 4.7L V8 (2UZ-FE), and it's done about 180k miles. We inspected valve lash and found two exhaust valves at .015" clearance. Toyota's spec is .010-.014"
