18-027-07 refers to 5.7L platforms for vehicles built before this van. 18-017-09 refers to 3.3 & 3.8 platforms built before 2009. I'd imagine the reflash doesn't change the operating characteristics of the EGR but simply opens the failure criteria for the EGR.... Login to read more.
