John, The stuff I am dealing with flakes off in hard pieces approximately 1/16" thick by 1/4" or so in diameter, resembling calcium or some other mineral deposit and is easily crumbled in my fingers. As it flakes loose it plugs the tubes in the radiator/heater... Login to read more.
