Armed or Set, which info is correct?

Howdy,

Was just reading through the GM section on their OBDII info there. In the chapter on Misfire Counters, it states and I quote, "History Misfire counters store total misfires for the cylinder after the DTC has been ARMED. This info is dated 1997.
