the more I read on the subject the more I was convinced there is no "rule" on this and anything can be right or wrong. As to WHY a sensor goes bad? Entropy. :-) Maybe a previous owner pulled the sensor out and rubbed it the wrong way against a stronger magnet ... Login to read more.
