Had A Grand Cherokee 3.6 drive in last summer with the same issue. Did not lock up though. Oil light came on. Just had oil change done that morning at a quickie lube. O-Ring was not sitting in the correct groove on the cap. Split the O-Ring and oil EVERYWHERE!... Login to read more.
