I experimented with DOT 5 silicone fluid maybe 25 years ago
in non-ABS vehicles used for track duty. The DOT 5
apparently became compressible at high brake temperatures
and the pedal would get a bit spongy. Converting back to DOT
4 solved the problem. ![]()
