On an OBD II vehicle, if the PCM detects sufficient misfiring on a cylinder, the PCM is supposed to kill the injection to that cylinder to save the cat from burning up from unburned fuel entering it. Cycling the ignition resets this function until misfires are... Login to read more. ![]()
