Re: Ford 4.6 Liter excessive crank endplay
It's a rarity to see the thrust bearings go out in a 4.6.
Does this unit have an old AOD trans behind it? If so, the
converter is ballooning, causing the wear on the thrust
bearings. Don't put new bearings or a new motor without
changing the converter. ![]()
