Put a vacuum gauge on the dipstick tube. If memory serves my correctly, spec is less than 1". If more than that the breather assembly (PCV, oil trap, bi-valve, whatever y'all call it) will need to be replaced. As mentioned before may be part of the valve cove... Login to read more.
