Hi Kyle, The bias voltage allows the PCM to figure out if a circuit is open, shorted to ground or shorted to power. If there is 0 volts it sees that as short to ground. The bias comes through a dropping resistor so it will be overcome by the true signal. Login to read more. ![]()
