GM computer control charging system F terminal question

Quick question. 95 Pontiac Sunbird 2.2 vin4. Computer controlled ALT. Most GM cars I have tested and the material I have read says the PCM sends 5volts to L terminal on regulator, do some of the older systems use 12v on this wire?
