The powerglide that's in it takes 18 hp to turn. A 400 takes 38 hp.....thats why racers used the powerglide. The 2bbl version has 155hp. the 4bbl was 215hp. This engine was used in the Starfire with a turbo and alcohol inj to keep the detonation down. Customer... Login to read more.
