Short answer is yes sir. The TIPM will disable the circuit for any low or high resistance. Aftermarket trailer adapters, especially hack jobs, definitely will cause lighting inop. But, in the case of a dead short to ground, I have replaced TIPMs for this. Expe... Login to read more.
