I leave the inner joint alone, and reboot the inner by disassembling the outer first and sliding the inner boot off and back on the now naked axle shaft. Then I reboot the outer and put the outer cv back on. Seems arduous, but Toyota Tacoma front axles are reb... Login to read more.
