timing should be fixed until Closed Loop starts. Which could take minutes, not seconds on a 1992. It shouldn't be moving around to begin with. Does the distributor shaft wobble? Is the Idle switch (inside the TPS) flakey? Just my thoughts. I hate these ancient... Login to read more.
