Just a guess based on the diagram, but was it the emergency flasher relay?

When I saw your post, I thought of my dad's 1970 Opel Kadett Rallye- it was of a very similar "type" to the Alfa, & the diagram could've be copied from the Opel FSM. Login to read more.
