I just had a Santa Fe with a similar noise. Sounded like it was an idler with the stethoscope, then found 2 bearing balls sitting in the dirt on top of the sub-frame. They didn't come out of either of the 2 idlers. Looked behind the power steering pump pulley ... Login to read more.
