Re: Access to OE information and tooling
I teach automotive service at a high school, so we are definitely not going to be spending the money on some of the information. We are lucky that Identifix supports schools and the county pays for ProDemand access. However, in conversations with shop owners, I know of one local shop owner that is selling his scanner because of the costs of keeping up. He is downgrading and says that he is not going to take any more diagnostics. He's a pretty good tech and CAN diagnose cars, but he says he's losing money on the tooling to do it. He's going to focus on maintenance and light repairs.
