That's odd. Normally Vin is only stored in PCM, not TIPM. When you hit restore, it merely look up all options according to the VIN in PCM, and download all option codes into the TIPM, and that's it. VIN mismatch doesn't necessarily mean there is a VIN verifica... Login to read more.
