Hi Ron. The first question on my mind is how did the chain break? I'm not a huge expert of VW, but I've never seen a broken timing chain on one of their engines. 213,000 miles, I guess it could have just finally worn through a link pin. Or, did cam bearing(s) ... Login to read more.
