Chrysler PCM programming issues
I've searched and searched but unable to find an answer. When programming a PCM on a Chrysler CAN vehicle WITHOUT ABS I lose the speedo. Yes I have tried to set the pinion factor or tire size in the TIPM or PCM/TCM. Using the WiTech also tried to set it from the module view screen under vehicle prep. Two vehicles were '06 PT Cruisers and the latest an '08 charger. I am aware of setting the tire size incorrectly and then back to what it calls for. I have tried restore vehicle configuration and resetting modules. I have looked for any hidden means to get this done with the WiTech (including overwriting modules with the same calibration). I have reinstalled the old PCMs and WHA LA speedo comes back... Sent one PT Cruiser to the dealer. They had it a week. Said they had needed a custom CVN from Detroit. Speedo now working. That was a couple months ago. Now I'm thinking this '08 Charger will also have to go to the dealer. Has anybody else run into this. Are there procedures I'm missing?
