Try the gauge sweep test. You may just have a bad motor for that gauge. I've been replacing the gauge stepper motors fo a couple years now. Change any that are noisy or dead. Takes maybe an hour to do. Pretty easy if you're good at soldering and not a gorilla.... Login to read more.
