Re: Catastrophic Hub Bearing Failure
One of the drivers brought in one of the boss's 2500 Chevy " mini - dumps " to the shop , complained of a squeak in the brakes , slight shake in steering wheel. Jacked up to check , you could take the left front wheel at the 12 and 6 o'clock position ,and tip it in and out at a little better than an inch, bearing was wiped out , messed up the brake pads as well. Truck was grounded , parked out in lot , large " Do not drive " sign taped on steering wheel until parts came in to repair .
