I've seen pressure gauges (mechanical) bouncing on other, far older V8 engines without tensioners, stuff out of the '70s and '80s. Can't remember the makes of the engines any more though. I think it's a combination of low oil volume at idle, and bearing(s) wit... Login to read more.
