1989 Ranger 2.9L w/5-speed man. trans.

After 5-6 minutes of highway driving at 60-65 mph (2800 rpm) we get a loud, high metalic click "in sync" with RPMs. It's about like an old- fashioned "tappet noise," except it sounds lighter.
