Yes, Chris- wet rings (gasoline) can cause this. I had a BMW 328, straight 6 engine, do the same thing to me in the middle of an unrelated diagnosis. Damn near pulled my hair out for a minute. Checked compression in all cylinders- ZERO PSI!!! Not 80, or 50, or... Login to read more.
