Ernest, the alternator is a 6G PCM controlled unit. If you remove the pig tail and rev it up, to excite it, the default mode of 13.8 comes on. However, this only proves that the rotor/stator/diodes are functioning, and that it will function in default mode. Th... Login to read more.
