I use that "silly" test kit when I have a suspicion of bad fuel.

In most cases, it tests at exactly 10% ethanol. A few times I've found way over that, but I'm sure it's been cases where the owner topped off with E85, which doesn't work well in a non-flex fue... Login to read more.
