An ex girlfriend had an 86 that did the same thing every two years or so. It had a 4 port vacuum switch on a clip on the carb that ran the decel valve for the pulse-air system. I used to take it off & shoot a little WD40 in it & exercise it with a vacuum pump.... Login to read more.
