Yes, you'll see the changes in frequency as rpm varies, but you shouldn't see signal QUALITY change if the sensor output is ok. Put your scope on it in the bay then "force" a stall (make a big vac leak, unplug fuel pump- something like that)- watch what happen... Login to read more.
