Hello everyone, we are trying to find a particularly difficult refrigerant leak on a 2005 Astro right now. We filled it up with 2 lbs of R-134 about a month ago. It came in today with a "no a/c" complaint and we recovered .8 lbs from the system. We added dye when we charged it a month ago, but can't seem to find a leak anywhere with the UV light.

Anyways, I was considering recovering the system and rigging up the smoke machine to try and smoke it. Has anyone ever tried this before? Did you have any luck? I don't have an electronic R-134 detector, and I'm trying to find this leak with what tools I have to work with. Just curious if anyone else had ever attempted this and what your results were.
