Update:

The crank bolt is out!

I drilled a hole about 1/4" in depth with a right handed drill bit. I noticed the bolt tighten a little bit while I was doing it. So, I put the drill in reverse and tilted the bit ever so slightly. OUT COMES THE BOLT!
