For GM stuff, there is a tool called AFIT (Active Fuel Injection Tester). It is an elaborate setup that pretty much measures pressure loss during an injector cycle. It is VERY good at locating marginal injectors. The tool is made by Hickock. IIRC, Hickock also... Login to read more.
