I would say it is to be expected.

I had to replace a worn out/ stripped drain plug a couple monthes ago on an F150 Heritage wirh the 4.6 .

We only got 200,000 miles out of the drain plug.

Ford dealer had them in stock. Sounds like a wear item to me. Login to read more.
