You'd occasionally find a bad one on the older 3.0L engines...but I've yet to see one on a 3.4L. I have a 3.4L right now with over 220K on it and the fan clutch bracket bearing is fine...just did it's 2nd timing belt about 5K ago. I just sold another 3.4L 4run... Login to read more.
