Not sure about your alternator getting hot. Depends on the load/amps , the housing can get hot 150-200 degrees Celsius. As far as your stalling issue goes, it may be a worn out cam sensor gear/bushing. Try disconnecting the cam sensor, it will trigger ... Login to read more.
