And Rusty...you should add to that sage advice to NEVER run it without a flush muff on it (these "ear flaps" you mentioned).....not even for a few SECONDS,ever !!!......doing so will COOK that lower end raw water pump's impeller THAT fast.........Dan H. Login to read more.
