Any BMW that has the 20 pin connector has to have it used for BMW protocol diagnostics. On those cars that have a 20 pin and a 16 pin the 16 pin is only for OBDII. The changeover year is 2001, but plus or minus a few months can change many things on a BMW. Wha... Login to read more.
