I work on A LOT of 4.8 Savanna 3500's. Every time I see a P0171, P0174 it is an issue with the PCV system. Make sure the oil fill cap is there, the o-ring is good, and the tube it goes on to isn't out of shape preventing it from sealing. Make sure the dipstick... Login to read more.
