Peter, upon further research, now that I am home, the alternator has two terminals: (a) lamp or excite, (b) DFM or field report. The voltage regulator has a 14.5 voltage set point. DFM means that the charging unit informs the PCM what its field activity is. Do... Login to read more. ![]()
